A Suicide Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device (SVBIED) laden with approximately 80 Kgs of the high explosive Trinitrotoluene (TNT) was intercepted in Merti, Isiolo County and was intended to be used in a massive terror attack in Nairobi. Weapons, ammunition, grenades and equipment were also seized. Police have identified the suspects behind the terror plot including the person who assembled vehicle-borne improvised explosive device.
